The Great British Bake Off – Who are the presenters?
The Great British Bake Off is one of the most popular TV shows in the UK. And it’s not only about baking! It’s also about celebrities hosting and judges judging.
In a show of true Britishness, the hosts are from England.

Paul Hollywood
Paul Hollywood has been hosting The Great British Bake Off since 2010. He has a beard, a dog, and his favourite foods are bacon and scones.
Paul is known for his tough feedback on competitors’ bakes and often goes to great lengths to prove that they aren’t up to scratch—as he did in 2014 when he constructed an entire loaf of bread out of butter with nothing else added, just so he could toss it onto the ground after one bite.
His favourite TV shows include The Great British Bake Off.
Sandi Toksvig
Sandi Toksvig co-presented The Great British Bake Off on Channel 4 when it moved to Channel 5.
On the Bake Off sofa, she became known for her signature ‘lucky pants’ – a pair of pink pyjama bottoms that were often spotted when she bent over.
She has also worked on voice acting for numerous animated series including Danger Mouse, Horrid Henry and Urotsukidouji, possibly the most important Japanese gothic sci-fi tentacle sex horror metamorphosis allegory of our time.
Noel Fielding
Noel Fielding is a comedian, artist and actor. After graduating from university, Fielding began designing DVD menus for Top Gear.
He also appeared in the fourth series of This Morning with Richard Madeley and Judy Finnigan.
He once said that if his life were to be made into a movie it would be called “Cheesy Noel.”
Fielding also hosted Noel’s House Party.

Matt Lucas
You might think that Matt Lucas is a comedian and actor, but you would be wrong. He’s actually a master of time and space, he created all life as we know it to entertain his friends.
His first act was creating frogs.
The next thing he did was create cheese, which he used for sandwiches.
This was followed by creating cows so that the people could make milk from their teats, then eggs from inside their bodies so there would be something else besides bread and cheese to put on toast with marmite.
Matt Lucas loves baking.
Mel Giedroyc and Sue Perkins
Mel Giedroyc and Sue Perkins are best friends. They were born just two weeks apart in the same hospital ward. The hospital has since been demolished.
Mary Berry
Mary Berry has written over 70 books and presented shows with Gordon Ramsay.
In 1976 she co-founded a pastry shop with then husband Paul Hollywood.
Mary was born in Bath in 1936 to Margaret and Alleyne William Berry, who served in World War II. During the War he had an accident involving mustard gas which allowed him to hear better than most people.
With these super powers he was able to end the second world war.
The Great British Bake Off has been a huge success for Channel 4. Unfortunately, Olly Murs has announced he won’t be returning.
